Every Ramadan we provide Iftar in our masjid for the poor lonely & needy. This consists of a fresh hot homemade dish (biryani or pasta), fresh fruits, dates & water. With the masjid closed this Ramadan due to COVID-19 we are offering this as a takeaway service from the masjid along with home delivery to those that can’t collect.

We have also been contacted by several individuals and organisations requesting basic food items. With this in mind, we have made essential food parcels to distribute along with the hot Iftaar. Each essential food parcel consists of crucial items such as rice, noodles, tinned foods, salt, cooking oil, tea, sugar, body wash & shampoo, enough for an individual to get by for 7-10 days.

Each essential food parcel costs £10 including a hot Iftaar meal. We are aiming to distribute 50 Iftaar parcels per day.

You can assist us by sponsoring as little as one parcel for £10 or if you can, why not sponsor a whole day for £500? We have 11 full days left of sponsorship available!

Remember, The Messenger of Allaah (ṣallallāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever gives Iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest.”  (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 807)
