Nate, Rajapur, Maharashtra, India, India

This is an urgent appeal to all our brothers and sisters around the world.

We are responding to a distress call received from a small Muslim village called Nate in Rajapur, Maharashtra, India.

As a result of the COVID-19 lockdown, the inhabitants of Nate are in dire need. This small fishing village consisting of about 150 families who are normally daily wage workers selling fish are now not able to earn anything and feed their families.

We need a small amount to get them through this difficult period.

A small food parcel consisting of essentials costs just £6 and will feed a family for a week. We have made the arrangements but urgently need the funds to save the lives of these hardworking people who are struggling to no fault of their own.

Food parcel content:

5 kg Rice
1 kg Dal
1kg Sugar
1kg Oil
250 gms Sugar.

The total amount we need for a week is £900 but this will feed 150 families. That’s less than £1 per day to feed a family.

Please give generously and any amount will make a massive difference.

The more support we get the more we can help.
