Many mosques throughout the UK have announced a pause in activities due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus. This has affected the daily childrens Quran classes, Jummah and the regular 5 daily prayers. We ask Allah for the health and safety of all people and our loved ones.

To unite the community, it is encouraged to pray together, recite the Qur’an together. This is now proving to be a challenge as most are now confined to pray in their homes, whilst we await for an end to this outbreak.

It has now become more critical that, as brothers and sisters in this beautiful religion of Islam, we step forward and support Karimia Masjid in these desperate times.

The Masjid has closed, let’s ensure our hearts don’t do the same. The closure of the Masjid has removed the main source of income. After spending 30 years in building the Masjid, providing services for the community and the youth, we don’t want to see the house of Allah in a dire financial situation.

The Masjid still has bills which need to be paid and staff who have to support their families. The Masjid has moved activities to an online platform, to continue to provide reminders and programmes.

We are told to give Sadaqah generously to ward off calamity during difficult times and giving to the Mosque is one of the best forms of Sadaqah.

For millions of Muslims throughout the UK, giving a weekly contribution to the local masjid is a lifetime habit, don’t let this crisis change that. If we come together and donate to support the Masjid, we can ensure that we are still standing strong.
