The prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) taught us that whoever supports the orphans, he (the prophet saw) and the supporter will be very close in Jannah (he held index and ring finger together) and the more I learn of our beloved (saw) the more I want to be in his blessed company in the life hereafter.
I have been tasked to fundraise to support 4 orphans in Iraq for 1 year – target £1632 – Partly because that’s where Ummah Welfare Trust – the charity partner – states is one of the more urgent situations and where funds can be guaranteed to reach.
Some of the avid cyclists amongst you may be aware of a voluntary challenge set by cycling clothing firm Rapha to cycle 500km (311miles) between Xmas eve and the new year. I will be attempting it in one go with a time limit of 34 hours. I have done long rides in the past but this easily surpasses with winter road miles adding to the challenge. Winter miles being significant as this is when they feel the lack of parents and warmth in general even more
Whatever talent I have I will try to use it for the betterment of myself and to help others. So dig out the spare change you have (usually behind the sofa or under your mattress) and keep the connection strong with the almighty and get you place next to our beloved (saw) inshaAllah
May Allah reward you for your generosity and increase his blessings on you and your family.
Please remember to keep coming back for updates and please share our campaign with others.
